Festival Polikultura 4th edition
Organization and movie documentary
In 2016, during first year of studying culture and media management,
I had the pleasure to be an organizer of the student festival Polikultura, which had its 4th edition at this time.
I was a leader of promotion and communication group and thus was responsible for twelve-member team which cooperated with nine-other groups. During this experience, which took eight months, I have learned how to run social media promotion, work with people from media companies and how to manage and supervise five-day cultural event.
I also worked with student of Fine Arts School who created a visual identification of the festival.
After the 5 days event, I had the pleasure to work on creating a publication devoted to our festival. My commitment in this project was noticed by the authors of the book, who devoted one chapter to my person. In addition, our project was awarded the Best Student Project award in the national PZU competition.
However, out of all the tasks that I had to fulfill during this time, the greatest joy was filming each week of preparations, and finally documenting all 5 days of the festival. Capturing the enormity of work put into organizing the festival was an amazing opportunity for me to get to know the camera, post-production and, above all, creative thinking.
Below I present a 13-minute-long material that summarizes all 10 events during the 5-day festival. This is the main footage of this project. While working on the festival, many other smaller works were created that can be found on the Polikultura’s youtube channel.
