All Hands and Hearts Project
After completing my first studies, not having much money or major obligations, I decided to fly to Nepal for two months to build a school for children. It was a voluntary work for the American organization All Hands and Hearts. After the first few days, I knew that this would be one of my greatest life experiences. Therefore, the following two videos were made.
The first is a 15-minute film called “A Day in the Life of a Volunteer”, which presents the daily life of volunteers living in tents, far away in the Nepalese mountains, eating the same thing every day and being together 24 hours a day. It is a mini report, which was supposed to illustrate our work and life in the most natural way, because the messages and photos on the messenger were definitely disproportionate to reality. I recorded the film with the iPhone 7 and put it together at night in our bamboo “office”. Having the wifi fast enough for Nepalese conditions, it took all night to get the material online. It worked, and of course it was worth it.
The second film is a 3-minute long material, made after returning from the project. Such a small mini souvenir. However, I share it because I believe that it may be an inspiration for someone or at least a signpost to take part in similar projects.
I hope you will enjoy them!
